RESPECT provides support and funding to improve the lives of people with intellectual disability in the care of Avista (formerly known as the Daughters of Charity Disability Support Services). We do this by improving the surroundings and the independence of service users, through capital building projects and ground breaking research initiatives.
You can help
You can support RESPECT in two easy ways – by signing up for our email, and by sharing our message with your friends and colleagues. Every email and share counts to us. Of course you can also attend an event or donate too!
What we do?
Projects
Respect’s building projects move from the old model of institutional care to a community setting.
Research
The DOCTRID Research Institute co-ordinates the ASSISTID EU programme, the first and largest of its kind.
Fundraising
We fundraise in various ways in collaboration with families, friends, corporate and retail supporters.
Shop
The RESPECT Shop is located in Park Shopping Centre, Prussia Street, Dublin 7 and is open from Monday to Saturday.
