Past Achievements
RESPECT has fundraised over the years to introduce improvements to various aspects of the lives of the Daughters of Charity service users. Some of the funds raised were used to obtain matching funds from Government to be able to provide up-to-date community style living quarters for residents, other smaller projects include the provision of transport services between facilities.
Some of the major achievements are listed below:
Bethel House (2001)
Bethel House is a unique 12 bed residential unit, which provides palliative and convalescent care to individuals with an intellectual disability. When originally built, Bethel House was the first of its kind In Ireland.
St Louise’s Residential, Catering and Day Centre (2006)
St Louise’s Centre, Glenmaroon comprises of nine specially designed bungalows providing 54 bedrooms for residents, and a Day Care Centre and Restaurant.
St.Joseph’s Centre, Clonsilla (2014)
This project comprises six specially designed bungalows providing 36 private bedrooms, a Special Dementia unit and a high Support unit. Each new building is specifically designed to meet the needs of the individuals residing in them.
